Jack Johnson has returned to the number one position on the Australian chart this week after handing the slot over to Perth's Gyroscope for one week only.
Johnson's 'Sleep Through The Static' sold 5,963 units last week, including 393 downloads. While registering as the official number one album, it registered less than one third of the sales of the Triple J Hottest 100 Volume 15 album, which sold 17,200 units. Unlike in the United States, ARIA does not include compilations in the chart.
It was a slow week for debut albums. Bryan Adams had the highest debut at number 35 with '11'. It sold 965 units including 12 downloads.
Van Morrison's 'Keep It Simple' debuted at 47 on 822 units including 1 download.
The Matches 'A Band In Hope' came in at number 99 on 422 sales including 10 downloads.
