NME Awards Jump The Atlantic

The influential NME Awards, which have been running in the UK since 1953, are jumping across the pond and will take place in LA's historic El Rey theatre.

The awards will be open to the public to vote for bands from the United States or Canada over a variety of categories including Best Solo Artist, Best New Artist, Best Album, Best Song and the usual stuff.

The awards themselves will take place at the El Rey on April 23rd.

Following that, will be the NME Awards US tour, which so far only features Kate Nash, but will also feature a number of other, new, but critically acclaimed artists.
