After Paul McCartney stalled his $120m just hours before signing the settlement papers, Heather Mills didn't have a leg to stand on.
The most expensive divorce in British history came to a standstill this week, when McCartney backed out of the settlement in the 11th hour.Mills was expecting a $43m lump sum followed by $5.5m for the next 14 years.
After one of the nastiest divorce hearing in history, Mills and McCartney looked like they had finally come to an arrangement last Friday but it was not to be.
While Mills turned up in court to sign the papers on Monday, McCartney was a no-show.
The former Beatle was said to have had a change of heart.
McCartney is estimated to be worth nearly $2 billion. He has the UK's finest lawyers working on his argument. Heather is contesting the divorce on her own.
