Going through a list of 1,500 acts announced for SxSW is a chore. Digging deeper into the list, Hanson, Ice Cube and Was (Not Was) are all scheduled to play.
It is easy to get lost in a SxSW announcement. Printing out the 1,500 names uses 27 pages. (sorry greenies).However, there are some interesting names scheduled to play at SxSW this year.

The Cowsills - 60's pop band best know for the song 'The Rain, The Park and Other Things'. The Cowsills were the real-life band who inspired the TV show The Partridge Family
The Bodeans - 25 year old band from Wisconsin, The Bodeans are best known for the 1993 hit 'Closer To Free' which later the theme to the TV series Party of Five
Jakob Dylan - Son of Bob and former lead singer of The Wallflowers.
Lemonheads - Evan Dando punk/pop band of the 80s. The Aussie connection is Nic Dalton and Tom Morgan. I hope they do 'Mrs Robinson'.
Von Bondies - The new album is 'Love, Hate and The There's You'. The last record 'Pawn Shoppe Heart' in 2004 came out in a wave of publicity after a punch-up between Jack White and singer Jason Stollsteimer.
Presidents of the United States of America - PUSA will launch their 5th studio album 'These Are The Good Times People' at SxSW.
Bowling For Soup - '1985' was a huge hit in 2004. Do they have another?
Emerson Hart - The former singer from Tonic will be doing it solo.
SxSW starts on March 11 in Austin, Texas.
