In a surprise decision, jazz legend Herbie Hancock has taken out the coveted Album of the Year Grammy at this year's ceremony for his album 'River: The Joni Letters'.
'River: The Joni Letters' is a tribute to the 60s songstress Joni Mitchell and features guest vocalists Tina Turner, Norah Jones, Corinne Bailey Rae and Joni Mitchell herself.It was released in 2007 through legendary jazz label Verve Records.
The album also won Best Contemporary Jazz Album.
