As rumoured for months, it can now be confirmed that Zeppelin will indeed play Bonnaroo. Unfortunately, it will be all-female covers band Lez Zeppelin, not the classic rock band with a similar name.
While Led Zeppelin fans won't get what they wanted from Bonnaroo, they will get the next best thing. Led Zeppelin lead singer Robert Plant will play Bonnaroo with Alison Krauss and T-Bone Burnett.Plant and Krauss have had a hit album in 'Raising Sand' this year which was produced by Burnettt.
The Bonnaroo line-up includes Pearl Jam, Metallica, Kanye west, My Morning Jacket, The Allman Brothers, The Raconteurs, Willie Nelson, Death Cab For Cutie, BB King, Sigue Ros, Levon Helm, Ben Flds, OAR, MIA, Talib Kweli, Broken Social Scene, Robert Randolph, Tegan & Sarah, Ozomatli, Donovan Frankenreiter and Jose Gonzalez.
Bonnaroo is on June 12-15 in Manchester, Tennessee.
