Canadian singer Leslie Feist is the proud owner of the 7th Annual Shortlist Music Prize.
Feist was voted in for her 'The Remainder' album.The judges who decided the winner included Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody and The Killers Ronnie Vannucci.
Feist performs as both a solo artists and as a member of Broken Social Scene.
Her song '1234' is a soundtrack to an Apple iPod ad.
Feist is the first Canadian act to win the Shortlist Music Prize.
Previous winners include Damien Rice, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens, N*E*R*D and TV on the Radio.
This year Feist was up The Arcade Fire, Burial, Justice, LCD Soundsystem, MIA, Spoon, Stars, Wilco and Nuclear Free City.
