Guru to The Beatles, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, has died at the age of 91 in the Netherlands.
The Maharishi became an international celebrity when The Beatles flocked to India in the 60s to hear his words in 1968.That all went sour when his Godliness was discovered to be sleeping with his women disciples, most notably, actress Mia Farrow. John Lennon wrote the song 'Sexy Sadie' about his hypocritical behavior. "Sexy Sadie, what have you done, you made a fool of everyone," Lennon sang.
Born in India in 1918, the Maharishi took his teachings around the world for the first time in 1958.
He moved to the Netherlands in the early 90s and retired from his work only this year on January 11.
