Jaime Spears, father of faded popstar Britney, has been granted Conservatorship over his daughter's assets in a court ruling today (Friday).
Conservatorship allows a person or person established by the court to control the property and assets of another person, making them guardian over that person.A court will allow conservatorship over people who are deemed incapable of taking care of him or herself.
The court ruling effectively now means Britney Spears is incapable of making balanced decisions for herself or her children.
Under the law, she can now fight the conservatorship but will have to prove to the court that she is in control.
Jaime and wife Lynne went to court on Friday to take out the conservatorship after their daughter was once again taken to hospital, this time over what may have been a suicide attempt.
The Spears' now have complete control over their daughter's house in Studio City and can remove any people living there that they choose.
Britney's self-appointed manager Sam Lufti is trying to argue that Britney is in control of her actions, but based on the last month, his argument seems to be in his self-interest.
