Britney Spears leads off this week’s new releases with her long-awaited seventh album Femme Fatale.
Britters should do well with her new album, even though the singles haven’t exactly charted well.
The physical edition of Radiohead’s King Of Limbs is also hitting stores, but we expect many have already nabbed it online long ago.
Snoop Dogg comes good with his new album Doggumentary, featuring a litany of guest spots.
Hyped New York indie pop duo Cults offer their debut Go Outside, equally-hyped UK slacker rockers Yuck deliver their self-titled debut, and French electro-poppers Yelle have album number two Safari Disco Club.
More indie, as scruffy garage pop act Those Darlins offer Screws Get Loose and sweet Swedes Peter Bjorn And John offer Gimme Some.
Ex-Hot Snakes and Drive Like Jehu garage champs Obits release their second album Moody Standard And Poor and underground hip-hop hero Pharoahe Monch releases the long-awaited W.A.R. (We Are Renegades).
French-Moroccan jazz star Hindi Zahra releases her Blue Note debut Handmade and Mr. Kasey Chambers, Shane Nicholson, delivers Bad Machines.
There are also some “are those bands still around?” moments with pop punk kids Sum 41 dropping Screaming Bloody Murder and Duran Duran delivering their thirteenth studio album All You Need Is Now.
Two soundtracks come out, Sonic Youth’s score for French film Simon Werner A Disparu and the soundtrack to the new Simon Pegg movie Paul.
Finally, there’s a re-release of The Church’s biggest hit album of 1998 Starfish, Cloud Control offer up a deluxe tour edition of their AMP-winning album Bliss Release and there’s a bunch of Collectors Editions of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds albums.
