16 Australian acts have confirmed to showcase at SxSW 2008 in Austin.
The USA can look forward to the resurgence of The Vines while respected singer/songwriter Paul Kelly will also make the trip.Newly reformed 80s band The Stems are also confirmed for SxSW.
One of the must see events is the Australian Music Collective Aussie BBQ, presented by Stage Mothers. The Stems, Paul Kelly, Something With Numbers, The Panics, Old Man River, Whitley, Yves Klein Blue and Ash Grunwald will perform at the BBQ this year.
As well as the free sausage sangers and Aussie beers and wines, Stage Mothers will also be giving away a return trip to Australia with thanks to sponsor Stage & Screen Travel.
Other Aussie acts confirmed to showcase at SxSW '08 are Tourettes, The Chevelles, The Vines, Jedd Hughes, Chris Pickering, Xno Barbequex, Naked on the Vague and Justice Yeldham.
SxSW is one March 11- 16 in Austin, Texas.
