Not Drowning Waving had a unique idea when it came time to release a remix album. They took the project to college students.
The idea came about from band member John Phillips who is also a teacher at Melbourne college RMIT. Phillips teaches electronic music."Since we had no budget for this project, our esteemed musical colleagues got involved because they wanted too" the band says in a statement. "There are even some remixes from students of the electronic music course John teaches are RMIT."
The album 'Maps For Sonic Adventures' covers the 20 year history of Not Drowning Waving.
It will be released in September through Liberation Music.
