Convicted pedophile and former pop star Gary Glitter has been taken to hospital after collapsing in his Vietnamese prison cell.
Reports out of the UK say that the singer had suffered a heart attack but those reports have not been confirmed. He was taken to hospital with chest pains.Glitter, aka Paul Gadd), was convicted in 2006 for abusing two 11 and 12 year old girls. He claims he was set-up.
Doctors are keeping the singer in a hospital in Thu Duc.
Glitter is serving three years for his crime. When released, he will be deported.
Under British law, if he enters the country, he will face further charges for sex tourism under the Sex Offences Act of 2003.
Gary Glitter is now 63 years old.
His string of chart hits include 'Rock and Roll Pt 1 & 2', 'Hello Hello I'm Back Again' and 'I'm The Leader of the Gang'.
