N.E.R.D. is another name to add to the SxSW line-up this year. Also jot down The Donnas, Q-Tip, Shelby Lynne, Dizzee Rascal, X and Liam Finn. They are some of the names talking about heading to the Austin conference this year.
Austin360.com has been compiling a list of acts who have been mentioning they are doing this year's conference and music festival and 'N.E.R.D.' has popped up on the list.Although SxSW won't announce the line-up until February, confirmed acts are free to talk about the event.
N.E.R.D. is producer Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo along with Shay Haley.
The group has been in the studio working on their third album 'N.3.R.D.', the follow-up to 2004's 'Fly Or Die'.
The Donnas will return to SxSW for the first time since 2005. They released their 7th album 'Bitchin' last year.
LA punk pioneers X formed in 1977.They were discovered by The Doors Ray Manzerek who producers their 'Los Angeles' album in 1980. The reformed band will kick off a US tour starting in Chicago right after SxSW.
Q-Tip will have a new album this year. It will be called 'The Renaissance'. Shelby Lynne is likewise preparing new music. This year's album 'Just A Little Lovin' will be released by Lost Highway.
The UK's Dizzee Rascal will be doing the festival off the back of last year's 'Maths + English' album.
Liam Finn will be playing up his debut solo album 'I'll Be Lightning', which will be released by Yep Rock Records in the USA on January 22nd.
