Tim Prescott, the former Chief Marketing Officer for Sony-BMG and now CEO of Albert Music, will speak at Musexpo in Los Angeles in April.
After a long career that started as a guest on 2ST Nowra (that's an in joke), Tim has been behind the careers of numerous international acts such as Midnight Oil, Powderfinger, Men At Work and You Am I.Tim left Australia to move to New York to become the global head of Sony-BMG marketing, returning last year to take the reigns of Albert Music.
At Alberts, Tim inherits the AC/DC catalogue and (if there ever is one) the next Acca Dacca album.
Alberts has a fine range of local Aussie talent including Beasts of Bourbon, Dallas Crane and Skybombers.
The label has a rich heritage in Aussie rock dating back to the 60s with The Easybeats and into the 70s with Rose Tattoo, John Paul Young, The Angels and Ted Mulry Gang.
MusExpo 2008 will also include speakers Peter Asher (Peter & Gordon), Peter Primont (Cherry Lane), Simon Renshaw (Strategic Artist Management), Robert Reynolds (manager, The Killers).
Musexpo is on April 27 - 30 at the Hyatt Sunset Strip, West Hollywood.
