Star producer Dallas Austin has pleased guilty to charges of cocaine possession in the Middle Eastern city of Dubai.
Austin was arrested at Dubai airport when he tried to enter the region enroute to a birthday party for model Naomi Campbell.He is due to be sentenced today and could face up to 4 years in jail.
According to MTV, Austin said after the hearing that he had no knowledge or intention of violating the laws of the U.A.E., a rather limp excuse for committing the crime.
He is expected to seek a pardon from the ruler of Dubai for the offense.
Dallas Austin's career includes production work with Madonna, Janet Jackson and Gwen Stefani.
