Snoop Dogg has pleaded not guilty to being in possession of a deadly weapon.
He was charged in November after security at John Wayne airport in Orange County allegedly discovered a collapsible baton in his carry-on luggage.Snoop did not appear at court, entering his plea through his lawyer. He also asked for a speedy trial. The charge carries a maximum three year prison sentence.
This is one of several recent legal run-ins for the rapper, with charges still pending for two other 2006 incidents, which are said to have involved weapons and drugs. And he began 2007 by being sued by a production company.
