The New Year's Eve show in Surrey, England featuring the supergroup of Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend and Joe Walsh was a show put on by Eric Clapton for his Alcoholics Anonymous group.
The audience was treated to a virtual walk through the origins of rock and roll by the band calling themselves Complete Abandon. With thanks to reader's responses to yesterday's request for information on the show, Undercover has been told about one of the greatest one-off shows of all-time.
The set-list comprised a few original songs from members of the band. Clapton's 'Cocaine' was there, so was Walsh's 'Rocky Mountain Way', Brooker's 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' and Starr's 'Boys'.
Old Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis along with a stack of Stax classics also made the list.
Eric Clapton put the show together for his Alcoholic Anonymous group. Clapton puts on this show annually and has been doing so for the last 20 years.
As they don't mention last names in AA, the band, along with Starr, Clapton, Walsh and Townshend is listed as:
Andy F-L - guitar(s)
Dave B - bass guitar
Henry S - drums
Chris S - keyboard
Sharon W and Michelle J - background vocals

Gary B is Gary Brooker from Procul Harum, Andy F-L is Andy Fairweather Low, once of Amen Corner and currently the guitarist for Roger Waters. We assume Henry S is Henry Spinetti, who has played with Clapton, Paul McCartney, Gerry Rafferty, Bob Dylan, Procul Harum and George Harrison. Chris S is Stainton. Michelle John and Sharon White were the backing singers.
