Irish singer Joe Dolan died of a brain haemorrhage in Dublin after collapsing on Christmas. He was 68.
Dolan was celebrating the holiday at his home with family when he collapsed and was taken to hospital. He had a stroke and went into a coma but died the next day (December 26th).Dolan has a number of global hits. He is best known for 'Make Me An Island' in 1969. It went to number one in 14 countries.
A year later he returned to the international charts with 'You're Such A Good Looking Woman'. 'Lady In Blue' followed in 1975.
Dolan was one of the best known faces on Irish television. His act lead him to Vegas many times. He was also the first western pop act to perform in the Soviet Union.
Joe was actively working until earlier this year when he had to cancel a tour due to exhaustion.
