Australia's country princess has cancelled her mid-September mini-tour of the US.
A press release from her US record label Warner Bros has announced that due to "personal reasons", Chambers has had to cancel the Austin, Chicago, New York and LA dates planned for September 17 to 22. They have promised to reschedule the tour for early 2007.Kasey Chambers diverse new album 'Carnival' is being released in Australia on August 19 and Warner Bros were quick to assure US fans that the American release date of September 12 still stands. Her first single, 'Nothing At All', has already hit Top Ten in Australia.
Chambers' early September tour dates through Western Australia are still up on her official website, as are her early October Queensland dates and her November dates through New South Wales, ACT and Victoria.
This is not the first time she has cancelled and had to reschedule US tour dates. In 2003 she has to cancel New York and Massachusetts shows, as well as an appearance on the Late Night Show With Conan O'Brien, due to an injury to her vocal chords.
