Amy Winehouse has bitten the bullet and cancelled her remaining dates for 2008.
The star has staggered through recent shows, recently explaining on stage that she can't give her all while her husband Blake Fielder-Civil is in prison.Island records said in a statement "The rigours involved in touring and the intense emotional strain that Amy has been under in recent weeks have taken their toll. In the interests of her health and well-being, Amy has been ordered to take complete rest and deal with her health issues.
"Refunds for the remaining dates will be issued from the point of purchase."
Fans who saw one of Winehouse's nine shows she didn't cancel said her performance was lacklustre and awful.
I was lucky enough to see Winehouse perform in March this year in Austin, TX and witness an extremely talented young woman blow an audience away with her voice.
Husband Blake is in prison for allegedly bribing a barman he allegedly beat up to not testify against him in court. He is currently in Pentonville Prison on remand.
