Welsh rockers Sterephonics have recorded each show in their current U.K. tour, which will be made available to the fans after the tour.
The idea, pioneered by Pearl Jam and later adopted by the MC5 is that fans can purchase a copy of the show they were at, thus quashing any need for bootleggers, and let's face it, a copy of the concert you were at is better than a t-shirt.The Stereophonics are doing it a little differently to the previous bands however, where Pearl Jam gave you a link to download immediately after the show, then later sent out a mastered copy and MC5 sold unmastered CDs at the merch stand immediately after the show, the Stereophonics will make the shows only available as a download.
To get the download, fans in the U.K. can text "Friends" followed by the city code to 78789 and fans in Ireland can text "Friends" followed by the city code to 57707.
