Beyonce Knowles, best known for her pop bastardisation of R&B is planning to try her hand at country music.
"A source" has been quoted as saying "Beyonce wants to try something completely different."She is a big fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go.
"She tested the waters at the American Music Awards last weekend and she is up for it."
Knowles is planning on once again teaming up with songwriter Amanda Ghost, who wrote 'Beautiful Liar', which Beyonce recorded with Shakira.
This career move is comparable to Ray Charles, who started out with R&B, blues, soul and gospel and later moved into country music with enormous success.
