Michael Hutchence's died on November 22, 1997 in Sydney, Australia. The band had recently returned home to embark on a tour to promote their 'Elegantly Wasted" album.
37 year old Hutchence was found dead in a Sydney hotel room. He died from strangling in what looks like a sexual act gone wrong.
While there was initial talk that the death was a suicide, the coroner fell short of a conclusion. Autoerotic Asphyxiation (the act of strangling yourself during sex) is a possible cause of his death.>>
