Dresden Dolls' Amanda Palmer performs solo at the Spiegeltent in Melbourne.
The singer, songwriter and pianist for the Boston duo, who are determined to revive Weimer-era cabaret, finds an appropriate home at Melbourne's baroque venue The Famous Spiegeltent. After success at Edinburgh's Spiegeltent, a musical with American Repertory Theatre and finishing off a solo album with help from Ben Folds, she spends a week in Australia.
The performances will cover over an hour of entrancing, oddball pop in an appropriately late night slot as well. She can be seen at 9:30 on Monday December 10, and across the witching hour beginning at 11:30 from Tuesday December 11 to Thursday December 13.
Tickets can be ordered from The Spiegeltent website or TicketMaster.
