Who I thought to be an R&B superstar, maybe isn't such a superstar after all. Kelis has been dropped from her label Jive after poor sales of her latest LP 'Kelis Was Here'.
But all is not lost for the singer, who has a project in the works with Cee-Lo Green (who you might know as, amongst other things, the singer from Gnarls Barkley). The album is said to be a "dance" album, according to Entertainment Weekly. She also has a pop album in the works with songwriter extraordinaire Guy Chambers in tow.
For the record, while Kelis' debut 'Kaleidoscope', featuring the song 'Caught Out There' went gold in the U.S., as did her third album 'Tasty', her second album 'Wanderland' wasn't even released in the States. So at this rate, whoever picks up her next record will have a hit on their hands.
