Amy Winehouse and Cee Lo Green have reportedly recorded a duet together.
According to The Daily Star, Winehouse and Green are recording with producer Salaam Remi, who has worked with both singers, in the small Caribbean nation of St. Lucia, where Winehouse owns a house.
The song will likely appear on her long awaited third album, which was scrapped a while back after producer Mark Ronson said she wasn’t ready to begin working again, in reference to her drug habits.
After a few shows in Brazil recently, it seems that Winehouse is managing to pull herself together and hopefully the record will be in stores soon. The Daily Star quotes a source saying that the album is “entirely finished” and it’s up to the record company to decide when to release it.
Winehouse exploded in popularity following the release of her second album ‘Back to Black’ in 2006. Since then she became more famous for her drug usage than her music, with stories of court appearances and troubled marriages appearing almost daily at one point. This year, however, we’ll remember why she was famous in the first place - if the album ever makes it out.
