Danish Mattel-baiters Aqua reform for a poptastic 30-date Euro tour.
While they are mostly infamous for 'Barbie Girl', it's no doubt that Aqua were a global phenomenon, selling over 30 million copies of their two albums 'Aquarius' and 'Aquarium'. While 'Aquarius' went triple platinum in 1997 on the back of that bubblegum pop smash, 'Aquarium' still managed to hit top ten in the UK three years later.The three Danes and their foxy Norwegian vocalist Lene Nystr??m Rasted broke up in 2001. Rasted tried out a solo career in 2003 to universal shrugs, then set to writing hits for glossy English pop act Girls Aloud.
Now Lene rejoins Rene, S??ren and Claus for mooted tour and rumours persist that they may be releasing yet another Greatest Hits album, following up 2002's 'Cartoon Heroes: The Best Of Aqua' which was re-released in the US last year.
