Murdered South African reggae star Lucky Dube has been laid to rest in the garden of his home in the rural village of Ingogo.
Thousands of mourners congregated to farewell Dube, one of the most successful and popular musicians in South African history.The Christian ceremony was attended by Rastafarians and members of the African Shembe Christian church.
Dube, 43, was shot dead in front of his children during an attempted carjacking last week. In a country which suffers through thousands of murders every year, Dube's killing has resulted in new calls for a crackdown on violent crime.
