The search has begun for the hottest music acts in Asia to receive global recognition. Sutasi entries are now open.
Sutasi is a search for unsigned songwriters and performers with talent to take on the world.Events will be held in South East Asia, East Asia and South Asia throughout 2008, with the first event scheduled for Bangkok in February.
The event has been given government endorsement from the competing countries and is supported by Austrade in Australia.
The production is fronted by Anke Thommen, whose credits include videos for Eminem, 50 Cent and Madonna.
Songwriters Jeff Cohen and Kara Dioguardi, former Wham and Marc Bolan manager Simon Napier-Bell and local Thailand producer, English born Simon Henderson, are also supporting the project.
The official launch was held at a gala event in Bangkok in September. Local acts Futon and Hangman, along with Australia's Future Role Models showed the calibre of talent that is being sourced through Sutasi.
