Amy Winehouse and husband Blake Fielder-Civil have been fined for pot possession in Norway.
The gossip columns are true! Winehouse, Fielder-Civil and a third, unnamed person were arrested in Norway for possessing marijuana. AP reports that they were arrested in their hotel room in Bergen after a tip-off. It is unconfirmed whether the tip-off was "Amy Winehouse is in Norway".They were prosecuted for seven grams of marijuana found in their hotel room and spent the night in a Bergen jail. They paid a fine equivalent to approximately US$715 and were released on the morning of Friday October 19.
The prosecutor, Lars Morten Lothe, said "She's paid the fine, so this thing is over for us now."
Winehouse is continuing her European tour, performing in Oslo on Saturday and in the Netherlands tonight. She is scheduled to appear at the mtvU Woodie Awards in New York on November 8. It's unsure whether the incident will impede her access to the US.
