Paul Raven, a former bass player for Ministry and Killing Joke, has been found dead, the victim of an apparent heart attack.
Raven had recently arrived in Europe to record his friends Treponem Pal.Doctors are yet to release an official cause of death for the 46 year old bassist.
Raven joined Killing Joke in mid 1982 and remained in the band through their heyday until they broke up in 1991.
Next stop for Raven was metal band Prong. He performed on their albums 'Cleansing' and 'Rude Awakening'.
In 2003, he returned to Killing Joke for their reunion album and in 2005, moved onto Ministry. He features on the Ministry album 'Rio Grande Blood', as well as the final Ministry album 'The Last Sucker'.
Treponem Pal is a French industrial metal band. Raven was to be the featured bass player for their new album.
