In 2013, the original line up of Killing Joke will embark on their first ever career spanning Singles World Tour.
The dance rockers known for their gloomy, atmospheric sound for over 30 years still have the same drive and integrity as the day they began. They may have slowed down of late but Killing Joke has changed, evolved and transformed. This will be Killing Joke’s first shows on New Zealand soil.
One of the vanguards of rock and always fresh, the band continue to make modern music, inspiring many and rewarding those who find out what they’re all about.
Killing Joke may not be success in terms of commercial, but that gives them respect and admiration as artists. Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Ministry, Metallica, FooFighters all sight Killing Joke as a major influence.
Jaz Coleman is still raging, political and sharp-as-a-knife, just as he’s always been. Geordie Walker’s distinctive guitar sound is furious as ever, Youth’s thunderous bass is ferocious and Paul Ferguson’s drums are a frenzy of apocalypse-inducing dance beats.
