Capitol re-release NWA's gangsta rap landmark 'Straight Outta Compton' and an Eazy-E compilation.
The controversial classic 'Straight Outta Compton' will be released on vinyl, CD and digitally with five bonus tracks; covers by Snoop and C-Murder, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mack 10, and WC, and a live version of 'Compton's N the House' by Dre and MC Ren.The label will also release a compilation of rare solo tracks from late NWA member Eazy-E, who died from AIDS in 1995. Titled 'Featuring... Eazy-E', the 16-song album hosts many out-of-print tracks, including remixes, a guest spot with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, work with Dj Quik as Penthouse Players Clique and collaborations with MC Ren and MC Eiht.
The re-release and compilation will appear on December 4, which is turning into a red letter day for hip-hop with the new Ghostface Killah and Wu-Tang Clan albums also launched.
