Plans for U2's skyscraper have been unveiled in Dublin.
Just to remind everyone in Ireland that they own the country, U2 and property developers Ballymore have displayed their plans for a 600ft high wedge-shaped skyscraper that will lord their success over everyone on the Emerald Isle.Of course, the design includes an egg-shaped recording studio which will be suspended at the very top of the building. And of course, the tower will be environmentally righteous, incorporating wind turbines, a rash of solar panels, and a selection of "affordable" flats.
Outside of this grandstanding, the U2 Tower will be comprised of luxury flats, with a five-star hotel in an adjoining building.
Construction is set to begin next year with an expected completion date of 2011.
