Atlanta duo Evan & Jaron have set themselves the task of releasing a song a week for the next year.
The identical twins this month unveiled their project '52 Sundays'. The task began on September 30. The songs are available via their website and on MySpace."52 songs. That's a lot of content," says Evan in a statement. "We've been waiting a long time for the opportunity to release our music directly to our fans, on our own timeline, at whatever price we choose." "But it's more than that," adds Jaron, "it's about giving the customers what they want, and from our understanding, that's a steady flow of contact and content."
Each week, the twins will update fans with info on the songs on their blog.
The brothers released 'You Put Your Beautiful in Me' as their lead song. "It's not our first single," says Jaron. "That's what's going to take people a while to get their heads around with this project. No singles and no physical record. Just 52 downloadable songs."
Evan & Jaron were discovered by Jimmy Buffett. They have had three Top 40 hits in the USA including the Top 10 'Crazy For This Girl'.
