Metallica pop their heads up for a moment to let fans know they haven't killed each other, and yes, they actually are working on a new record.
A message on their official website said, "The big update is... that there is nothing new to report. Things are as you would call it, status quo, consistent, constant, invariable, unaltered, unchanged, unfailing, uniform, unvarying."Pretty much what we are trying to say is: work is continuing and all is good in the Metallica hood. As soon as we do have something new to report, you will be the first to know of course! Ok, enough of this chit chat... back to work!"
It will be the first album with (not so) new bass player Rob Trujillo, who joined shortly after their last critically lambasted album 'St. Anger' was recorded with Bob Rock on bass.
The band are also doing this record without the help of Dr. Phil Towle, the shrink that helped them get through their most turbulent times during the recording of 'St. Anger'. Aren't they growing up so fast?
