Splendour In The Grass Is The Only Coldplay Show

The headline slot at Splendour In The Grass will be your only chance to see Coldplay in Australia before their next album.

Coldplay have been working on their fifth studio album, due for release in the third quarter of this year. It will be the follow-up to the 2008 album ‘Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends’.

The yet to be titled 5th album is being produced by Brian Eno, who worked with Coldplay on ‘Viva la Vida’.

Eno dates back to the 70s as an original member of Roxy Music. He has also produced albums for U2 (‘The Unforgettable Fire’, ‘The Joshua Tree’, ‘Achtung Baby’, ‘All That You Can’t Leave Behind’), He is also the composer and performer of The Microsoft wav, that 6 seconds sound you hear when you start up a Windows computer.

Splendour In The Grass will also feature Kanye West, James Blake and a reformed Pulp.

Splendour in the Grass is on July 29-31, 2011 at Woodford in Queensland.
