UK electro geeks Hot Chip announce their third album, 'Made In The Dark'.
Hot Chip's second album 'The Warning' hit top 40 in the UK last year on the back of their mesmerising 'Over And Over' single and these London studio nerds became the go-to group for day-glo indie electro. After nonchalantly dishing out remix after remix for everyone from Scissor Sisters to Amy Winehouse to Queens Of The Stone Age to Kraftwerk, Hot Chip now announce their third full length 'Made In The Dark', due for release early February next year.
They're already previewing new track 'Shake A Fist' as 'Shake A Tease' on their myspace, for those that didn't snap the song up on 12-inch vinyl earlier this month.
Multi-instrumentalist Alexis Taylor confessed that the album will be heavier than their previously minimalist work. "It's a lot more like a live band sound, it's a lot rockier. There's even metal influences in some places," he noted. Half of the tracks on 'Made In The Dark' were assembled in home-recording studios and the other half were played live in professional studios, a first for the band.
