R&B star Bobby Brown was rushed to hospital this week after suffering a mild heart attack on Tuesday.
The 40 year old singer had severe chest pains and was taken to Tarzana Regional Medical Center in the San Fernando Valley. He was released the following day.In a video message recorded from his hospital bed, Brown wanted to clarify that the heart attack was not drug related and that he had not used drugs for 2 and a ?? years. He also sent a message to members of his former boy band New Edition and to his daughter.
Brown, the former husband of Whitney Houston, has been fighting for custody of their teenage daughter.
He did not mention Whitney in the message. Bobby and Whitney were divorced in April.
Brown has a gig this Saturday and at this stage wants to go on with the show.
The show is at the4 V100 Taste of Soul Concert in Los Angeles.
