Shannon Noll's brothers Adam and Damien have debuted on the Australian chart this week with their first single 'Shining Star'.
Shannon Noll was the runner-up in the first season of Australian Idol. He is at number 20 this week with his single 'Loud' while his brothers are hanging out at number 32.Shannon also has the number 10 album on the ARIA chart with his third full-length 'Turn It Up'.
The chart rivalry marks the first time since Kylie and Dannii Minogue that siblings have battled for chart positions.
The Noll Brothers recorded their song with producer Craig Porteils. Porteils also produced their debut album 'A Country Heart', due for release in January 2008.
The video for 'Shining Star' was directed by Cori Hopper, the former husband of Kasey Chambers.
The brothers' rivalry is all in good fun. Adam and Damien helped Shannon out by penning the song 'The Way That I Feel' on his album 'That's What I'm Talking About'.
Shannon Noll recently wrapped up work as Parson Nathanial in the Australian production of Jeff Wayne's 'War of the Worlds'.
