Nominations have opened for Australia's Country Music Awards.
The Country Music Awards have been held annually in Tamworth, New South Wales since 1973. They recognize excellence in Australian country music songwriting, performance and recording.Nomination forms for next years event can be downloaded from the official website at www.country.com.au
Nominations are open until 5pm, Monday October 15.
Entries are open for material released between November 1, 2006 and October 31, 2007.
For this year's event, around 500 nominations were received from 200 releases.
The awards will be presented in Tamworth on January 26, 2008.
