Maynard James Keenan has described his forthcoming album project as Puscifer as 'cool R&B'.
Puscifer's debut album has been christened 'V Is For Vagina'.Keenan says the sound is like "driving around in your car listening to those old Motown hits, James Brown, and cool R&B stuff.
He has been toying with the Puscifer project over a number of years. We first heard about it on the Underworld soundtrack of 2003. It also featured on the Saw II soundtrack of 2005 and the 'Underworld: Evolution' soundtrack of 2006.
Puscifer started equally as a band and a clothing line. The official website is devoted more to merchandise at this stage than the band or the music. Limited edition t-shirts take priority over the album.
So why the title 'V is for Vagina'? "The title? "V is for Vagina." of course. What else would it be? "C is for Chinese Democracy" was taken", Keenan states at Puscifer.com.
