Australian music legends Russell Morris and Brian Cadd went into the heartland to meet fans in Canberra during their recent tour.
Morris and Cadd dropped by Songland Records in the Canberra suburb of Tuggeronong to catch up with fans and sign copies of their albums. The rock duo spent about an hour and a half talking to the few hundred fans who turned up to say hi.
The fans obviously appreciated the day. They purchased a couple of 100 CDs from the rockers at the store on the day.
Cadd and Morris are doing select dates around Australia ahead of their forthcoming 'Unplugged' album with the Queensland Conservatorium 30 piece orchestra. The album was recorded live in March this year.
Morris recently released 'Fundamentalist', an album of solo acoustic songs in the Liberation Blue series. He is rarely off the road.
"I haven't been off the road for 11 years and it's still going strong. I probably do 110 gigs a year with Darryl Cotton and Jim Keays, the rest I do by myself, so I know how much people appreciate my old songs live. But I also have about 120 new ones in a drawer. That was one of the reasons I did this," he said recently in a statement.
Russell Morris was one of Australia's biggest rock stars on the 70s. He clocked up hits such as 'The Real Thing', 'Wings of an Eagle' and the epic 'Part Three into Paper Walls'
61 year old Cadd likewise shows no signs of slowing down. He has been performing regularly since the release of his 2005 release 'Quietly Rusting'.
In the 60s, Cadd was a member of The Groop and Axiom before embarking on a solo career with the now classic track 'Ginger Man'.
His songs have been recorded by Ringo Starr, Joe Cocker, Pointer Sisters and Bonnie Tyler.
This year he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
