Seattle rock band Green River are planning a reformation in summer 2008, according to one time guitarist Stone Gossard.
Gossard and Green River bassist Jeff Ament went on to form Pearl Jam in the early 1990s, while Mark Arm and Steve Turner went on to form Mudhoney."We haven't played with Alex (Vincent) and Bruce (Fairweather) in quite a while. They're both excited about it, from everything I've heard," Gossard told Billboard.
Green River are credited with being the first "grunge" band to release an album. The name of the band has since become more famous than their actual music, due to the later projects of the members.
