Prince has topped Rolling Stone's list of underrated guitarists, just ahead of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain.
The results came from readers who were asked to vote for guitarists who didn't make their top 100 guitarists of all time survey. What's this I hear you scoffing? "Prince? Isn't he that little purple guy who just plays 80s pop?" Well, let's not forget he's the man who gave us such classic solos such as those from 'Purple Rain' and 'Let's Go Crazy'.
Anyone who has seen the purple one live will vouch for his virtuosity.
Other guitarists in the poll are Kurt Cobain (#2), Neil Young (#3), George Harrison (#4) and Ace Frehley (#5).
That's a pretty good list, but er, what did Kurt Cobain do that J. Mascis didn't do first?
