Tickets to the Spice Girls reunion show in London have sold out in 38 seconds.
Promoters immediately added three more shows at London's O2 Arena for December 16 and 18, and January 2, with more than one million people registering for tickets to the original concert. They've also been forced to re-schedule other dates around the world to meet the demand for tickets. New dates are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Bono has apparently written a song for the Spice Girls which will appear on their forthcoming greatest hits set. The word is that the perennial do-gooder was enlisted amid record company fears that the album would flop, with the group's fanbase having reached emotional maturity some time around 2004.
The cavalcade of ticket sales prove such theories to be unfounded.
