A new twist in the murder of Notorious B.I.G. sees a prison inmate admitting to framing police.
Former R&B artist Waymond Anderson, serving a life sentence for an unrelated murder, has revealed that he lied about LA police involvement in the murder to win a monetary settlement from the city.Anderson filed a deposition that said he was to be offered a portion of a settlement if he testified in court that Rafael Perez told him ex-officer David Mack was involved in the murder. He denied knowing either of the officers, and said "It was a lie, and I'm ashamed of it."
Anderson stated that Notorious B.I.G's family and their lawyer Perry R. Sanders Jr. offered him a cut of any cash they might've made from a wrongful death lawsuit they filed against the police, accusing them of involvement in the murder.
Sanders Jr. has denied the allegation, saying, "This is wholesale, made-up-out-of-whole-cloth perjury."
