A man has died while crowd surfing at a Smashing Pumpkins concert in Vancouver this week.
The coroner's office is yet to issue a statement announcing cause of death but witnesses at the gig said that the man fell while crowd-surfing.It is known that the victim was unconscious when he was moved from the crowd and that first aid workers attempted to revive him. He was pronounced dead from nearby St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver later.
The coroner will test the man for alcohol and drugs before issuing a cause of death statement.
Police say that foul play is not being considered.
The show at the Pacific National Exhibition Forum was attended by 3,800 fans.
The victim is said to be a 20 year old from nearby Richmond, BC.
