Pearl Jam's Italian concert tour has been captured for the big screen through the movie 'Immagine in Cornice'.
The movie, directed by Danny Clinch (Bruce Sprignsteen's 'Devils and Dust'), follows the band over five Italian concerts from their 2006 European tour.On the tour, Pearl Jam visited Pala Malaguti in Bologna, the Arena di Verona, the Forum in Milan, Palaisozaki in Torino and Duomo Square in Pistoia, Italy.
"The band invited me to Italy and gave me the access I needed to show a side seldom seen by their fans. It has become a collaboration - as well, the band even offered me some music that has never been heard and Mike (McCready) went into the studio to create some more music for the soundscapes. This is a look at Pearl Jam that no one has seen yet. A trip through Northern Italy with the band, through the document and through abstraction," Clinch said in a statement.
The movie will screen one-time in New York on September 25 at Ziegfeld Theater in Manhattan along with simultaneous premieres in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Philadelphia, Seattle, Atlanta, St. Louis, Memphis and Las Vegas.
A DVD release will follow shortly after.
